Um, I suppose every debate has to have that moment of impact that makes the viewers say "what the hell did I just hear?" Mr. Kucinich provided us with just such a moment, but the question is whether he saw a UFO in the sky one night or whether he saw the inside of a UFO after a period of semi-conscious probing. Yikes to both possibilities, but I always suspected that Kucinich was not of this world.

Oprah has finally figured out that trying to be a part-time educator in a third-world country doesn't work. Kinda hard to be running a school from Chicago and on investment alone, eh? I wonder if this will take the shine off her star and role as a political "king maker"? Doubtful, as the millions of women (and henpecked husbands) will no doubt forgive her and let her ego expand even more. Look, neither party is good at much of anything, but people tend to go with the simplest route to wherever it is they are going. With our representatives in Washington we are going straight to hell, and we want that to be a quick and direct journey, with no unnecessary stops long the way. Republicans are able to get their point across easily because - as the article points out - they choose "black and white" terms for the spin they are trying to circulate to their constituents, as well as some of the folks who watch the Fox News Channel on accident. Democrats, on the other hand, tend to try and push across the usual "we're speaking down to you because we're smarter than you" rhetoric across the table and the American public isn't having any of it. None of that academic think-tank speak means shit to a guy trying to support a family of 4 in Detroit, and the national polls are starting to indicate this.

Democratic glamour shots spokesman John Edwards wants to send you to college and raise your taxes. Why can't these puffed up clowns ever propose cutting back spending and lay off of the American taxpayers once in a while? Why? Because, at worst they are complete morons, and at best, they are plain stupid. These are people who cannot pay their own bills on time, have filed bankruptcy, spend money like they were printing it in their basements, and don't have the guts to govern outside of the world of the instant poll. Well, those crazy folks over at FEMA are at it again. What is odd is that they actually seemed to be doing just fine with regard to the California fires and then some nitwit decided that they needed more people at a press conference to ask questions. Guess what they did? Yup. Why not just cancel the press conference or go with the call-in format? Makes you wonder just exactly who is running this agency and it certainly adds yet another element of truth to the idea that hiring your friends and cronies is equal to having pure crap to deal with later on.
