Hey folks! Hollywood finally figured it out. When you make crappy, uninteresting films, no one goes and no one makes money. DUUUUHHHHHHHHHHHH...

Jesus, you know what else causes people to blow off Hollywood and going to the theater? $10 tickets and $7 popcorn!!! It's the whole industry - from the actors and the studios to the theaters, it is all inflated way beyond what it acceptable for the average moviegoer to shell out for substandard films and a very expensive experience.

Back in 2000/2001 I used to go to the theater every Sunday to see a film just for something to do before the work week kicked off. If I tried to do that today, I would piss away half of my fuel budget for the week on some half-assed movie that would have been better saved for a weekend DVD binge.

Sorry Hollywood, your product is largely stale and your distribution partners (theater owners) are gouging an already dissatisfied set of moviegoers. Get back to us when you determine what your realistic value to the public is today.

John Edwards pisses off Mellencamp fans.

John Mellencamp thought that it would be a good idea to drag John Edwards onto the stage during his show in Des Moines, Iowa. The crowd, however, thought that this was a bad idea and showed their displeasure as "The Haircut" interrupted a rendition of "Small Town" to utter a few useless sentences and then cowered to the side of the stage away from the booing crowd.

The moral of the story - when people are paying top dollar to see their favorite musicians, do not - we repeat - do not, screw with the fans by tossing political rhetoric into the middle of a hit song. What a couple of jerk-offs - Mellencamp, for thinking that he has any political influence with fans paying top dollar for a concert, not a goddamn fund raiser; and Edwards, for thinking that anyone paying top dollar for a concert wanted to hear his political rhetoric.

Why doesn't anyone buy our shitty music anymore?

If this wasn't so pathetic it might be somewhat humorous. You see, someone at Universal Music actually had the time on their hands to wade through YouTube and then pick out a home video of a child simply dancing to a Prince song. Not a Prince video posted on YouTube, or a home movie of a Prince video in the background on YouTube, just a kid dancing to the music on a home video.
