Islamic Militants In Sudan Demand That Teacher Be Punished

In yet another indication that Islamic fundamentalists do not have enough important things through which to occupy their time, these knuckle-dragging clowns have decided that a British teacher named Gillian Gibbons, 50, who named a teddy bear "Mohammed" should face the full penalty for insulting their prophet of the same name. So, now they are calling for protests, rallies, and the whole nine yards because a teacher made an innocent mistake. Is it any wonder why these countries have no economies, money, or hope to speak of? This crap occupies every aspect of every miserable day of their miserable lives.

Is there any doubt as to why the West and the Middle East on on a collision course over this kind of nonsense? I'll tell you what? You want Westerners to take your prophet seriously? Then how about hanging, shooting, or otherwise dissecting the cowards who carry the name Mohammed and blow up airplanes, buildings, or groups of people. That is if they haven't already blown themselves up because they foolishly think that they are off to a land of paradise and 70 moustached virgins, or some BS like that. Yeah, then maybe we will take the religion that you hijacked and your prophet seriously; however, if you continue this kind of ridiculous behavior you're likely to not get a whole lot of respect, compassion, or anything but laughs and ire from the West.

While we hope for the best for Ms. Gibbons, we cannot help but ask the following - "what the hell were you thinking when you thought it was a good idea to head over to "Halfassistan" Sudan to teach in a Christian school?!" At the very least, when you decided to go to this godforsaken hellhole, did you not at least check out the history and the customs of this place? We are willing to bet that Ms. Gibbons is sitting in a cell thinking "note to self - England is a perfectly suitable place to live and teach. Can't wait to see it soon!", and as we said, we hope that she is released without further inconvenience from here half-witted captors.

This isn't going to be a long post, but I just wanted everyone to see what our "friends" in the Middle East are up to these days when it comes to treating their women with respect. You see, the Saudis have this ass-backwards thought process known as Wahhabism, and they prohibit unrelated men and women from associating with each other, bans women from driving, and women must be covered head-to-toe in public. Sweet deal, eh?

So, this poor 19 year old woman ends up being attacked and raped by six neanderthals "men of peace" who are Sunni Muslims, the dominant sect in oil-rich Saudi Arabia. She is a Shiite, which is the minority sect in Saudi Arabia, so while the six men were eventually sentenced to between 2-9 years in prison, she also gets 200 lashes and 6 months in jail! Worse, she was originally sentenced to 90 lashes for "being in the car of an unrelated male at the time of the rape", but her sentence was increased because the judges said "she attempted to aggravate and influence the judiciary through the media".

I hate Big Oil and the pieces of garbage who call themselves "speculators", you know, the nutsacks who panic at the first sign of trouble and *boom* gas prices go sky-high! Well, at least these clowns were nice enough to warn us that they are about to screw us six ways to Sunday.

I cannot wait for some administration to call for energy independence in 5 years and then do everything to meet that goal, even if it means pissing off the ass pipes who are at the head of the Big Oil table, including the jerk-offs over there in the Middle East. Of course, I know that wishing for any American politician to come into office with a set of balls that won't turn to rotted grapes in their first year is like asking for $1 million dollars (or Euros, if you're like some skank supermodel) to fall into your lap, but let's try and keep a little faith, eh?

This is working out well for Pakistan.

So, your former prime minister comes back to suicide bombers and a cold response from the government, which places her under house arrest and starts rounding up her supporters (rather viciously, I may add), and finally, all hell breaks loose! In most other countries this would eventually settle down and everyone would go back to living their lives and the tension would subside. But most other countries aren't Pakistan, and what makes this even more troubling is that the situation also includes the possibility that all of this may end in a mushroom cloud as Pakistan has nuclear weapons. Sweet, so please tell me how this ends well, but more importantly, how we got to this point in the first place? This is a textbook illustration of why these half-assed countries should not have access to microwave ovens, let alone nuclear weapons.

Oh, and the fact that the Pakistani police in their riot gear look like C3PO from Star Wars do nothing to ensure me that they will be able to handle the situation.

Uh-oh, California (of course) starts the trend towards screwing the American driver with $5 gas! I am glad that I live in a public transportation-friendly city (until the CTA runs out of money again...) and don't have to give these greedy bastards one dime of my hard earned money.
